About Team Caliber
Caliber Machinery (Pty) Ltd is a leading supplier of used and rebuilt earth-moving and mining machinery, as well as related parts and components based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. We are conveniently located 40 kilometres north of Johannesburg and just south of Pretoria with excellent road links to the N1. With expertise in reputable brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and Bell, we are confident in our ability to provide the best value for money.
We stand out from the competition, not only in our exceptional service offerings, but also our unique outlook in our industry. We are a one stop shop for all things machinery and parts.
Our History
Caliber Machinery (Pty) Ltd was built on the foundation of years of expertise in the yellow metal industry. In 2006 the Malan family joined forces with the ALS Group to grow the rental business and began trading under the name ALS Haulroads.
Many more years down the line we are proud to say that the initial partnership has gone from strength to strength and the original shareholders are now part of Caliber Machinery (Pty) Ltd.
Caliber Machinery is a subsidiary and proud member of the ALS Group of companies. The corporate and financial backing from the ALS Group coupled with the highly experienced work force from Caliber Machinery make this a winning combination in providing Sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of the world with quality used and rebuilt earth-moving and mining machinery, as well as related parts and components.

Our export footprint spans from the USA, Europa, Middle East, UK, DRC, and Australia.
We work with several trusted international clearing and forwarding agents that offer comprehensive logistics and freight solutions.

The closest international port to Caliber Machinery is the Port of Durban which is the largest and busiest shipping terminal in sub-Saharan Africa and also the fourth largest container terminal in the Southern Hemisphere.
Air Freight
Caliber Machinery is conveniently located in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, situated between Pretoria and Johannesburg on the R21 airport highway, thus we have air transport capabilities to send our parts and components via air cargo to customers in Africa and across the globe.
Road Freight
Caliber Machinery has strong relationships with several low bed transport companies that we can leverage for our customers.
Our Rebuild Process
At Caliber Machinery, our experts can fully rebuild earth-moving and mining machinery from the frame up, to like-new condition.
All remanufactured machines are dismantled to the bare frame and are thoroughly inspected for defects and wear. From the powertrain to the hydraulics and electrical system, we evaluate and analyse each component, making sure that it is rebuilt to OEM specifications. This includes the cab and operator station, implements and ground engaging tools.
No Caliber rebuilt machine leaves the yard without being tested at our in-house testing facility.
Our after-sales backup and product support ensure that our rebuilt machines perform as well as a brand new one would, at a fraction of the price!
A rebuilt machine from Caliber may be more economical, and it comes with the same quality and attention to detail you would expect from a new unit. In fact, with new paint, new decals, and new tyres, you might mistake your restored machine for a new one!
